Treatise relative to the Testing of Water-Wheels and Machinery, James Emerson 1879 Web Page

The first edition of this famous work was the only engineering textbook that was banned by the Roman Catholic Church. I have the only 1st edition that I ever found. I can understand why it was banned!!! All offensive material was purged in the later editions including this Google reprint.
